Frankfurt am Main, October 13, 2009 - In an auditorium
called “Harmonie” the Frankfurt Book Fair 2009 was officially opened. This
year, China is the book fair’s guest of honor. The elegant stage had giant
backlit colorful books to the left and a jazz band to the right.
Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel and
Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping and other important dignitaries addressed
the audience.
